New Liquor License

Attention: ALL OBJECTORS TO THE FOURTH FLOOR NEW RESTAURANT LIQUOR LICENCE APPLICATION

There has been hysteria about a simple application for a restaurant liquor licence at the Fourth Floor restaurant in Bedfordview.

Although the application was only lodged on Friday 2 June, a large number of “objection” emails have already been received prematurely by the liquor authorities and the applicant’s attorney.

To allay fears of some sort of nightclub being opened, a copy of the application is attached to this website. Potential objectors are welcome to download it and examine it at their leisure. Once this has been done, constructive objections or motivation in support can be lodged in terms of section 25 of the Gauteng Liquor Act.

Kindly lodge your objection with the relevant regional office of the Gauteng Liquor Board. For the Bedfordview area you need to submit your objection at Golden Height Building, Corner Victoria and Odendaal Streets, 2nd floor Germiston, Tel: 011 255 4950

You must submit within 21 days of the lodgement of application and it has to be hand delivered (not an emailed one). A copy of the objection or motivation in support must be delivered to the applicant’s attorney at 23 4th Avenue Highlands North and proof of delivery must be obtained from the Regional office and the Attorney.
